K9metrix is a phone app for sled-dog kennels. It makes the day's teams from your own dogs and your own rules, keeps every dog's health and inspection record, and logs each kilometre a dog runs.

What it is
One app for the dog yard, from morning feed to the last run.
Most kennels plan teams on a whiteboard and keep health notes on paper. K9metrix does both on the phone in your pocket, and it knows which dogs can run together.
Teams
Press Make teams. Get today's teams.
Built from your dogs, their positions and their pull.
Keeps your rules: never beside, must pair, left side only, never loose with.
Rotates rest days and kilometres so nobody is over-run.
Two guides can build on two phones at once.
Health and inspection
The record the inspector asks for.
Health checks by body part, body condition 1–9, weight trend.
Medicines with doses, who gave them, and withdrawal days.
Daily rounds, out-of-pen log, pen sizes against Swedish law.
One tap makes the inspection pack, red flags first.
Racing and GPS
Every kilometre lands on every dog.
Add a GPS track to a saved team. Each dog in it gets the km.
Race pool, readiness in plain words, Build the line.
Km in the last 7 and 28 days, longest run, pace per dog.
Straight from your watch: coming this winter.
What others don't do
We checked every kennel app we could find. Then we built what they leave out.
In October 2026 we compared 62 features, one by one, against the other kennel and dog-sport apps on the market.

It builds the teams for you
Other kennel apps give you a board to drag dogs around. K9metrix makes the whole day's teams in one tap, under your rules.
Rest and kilometres are part of the plan
Rest days, days-a-week limits, puppy and old-dog caps, and each dog's recent km decide who runs.
The weather changes the teams
Tell it the going and the cold. It picks the dogs that suit the day.
Guest weights, load per dog
Kilos from your booking system or typed by a guide. Each sled shows kg per dog in green, amber or red.
The inspection pack in one tap
Everything Länsstyrelsen asks for, with the red flags worked out and listed first.
Pens measured against the law
Run sizes checked against the Swedish table (SJVFS 2020:8), and a count of dogs over 12 months against your permit.
Daily rounds and the out-of-pen log
Water, bedding and temperature on every round, the frost-water rule, and which dogs left their pen today.
Care for the old dogs
A senior badge, the 90-day vet check, a written senior plan and their time out of the pen.
Notes that turn into rules
Write the same thing about two dogs twice and the app asks: make this a rule?
Two guides, two phones, one board
Build at the same time with a live presence light. Lock the day, undo a move, practise in private.
Race pool and Build the line
Mark the race squad, read each dog's readiness in plain words, and let it pick the best line from the pool.
A map of your yard
Who sleeps where, find any dog in a second, and the counts per row.
Three kennels, one app
A big tour kennel, a race team and a small Swedish kennel. It fits each of them.
Every kennel gets its own private copy, its own yard map, its own rules and its own language. The pictures below are example kennels made for this page.

How it works
Set up in an afternoon. Use it every morning.
Send us your dogs
A spreadsheet, the app's template, or a photo of your whiteboard. Names, positions, birthdays, who is in season. We put them in for pilot kennels.
Tell it your rules
Who never runs beside whom, who must pair, who leads. Draw your yard so the app knows who sleeps where. Add your guides and what each may do.
Press Make teams
Today's teams appear, rested and balanced. Drag a dog to change anything. Save, and the teams go to every guide's phone, even out on the lake with no signal.
The run, the route and the kilometres, on every dog in the team.
This is a real training run from our yard at Altajärvi, 15 October 2026. The musher saved the GPS file once. All eight dogs in the team got the 9.38 km on their own record.
How we use watch data
Garmin and Polar, straight in
A musher can connect their own Garmin or Polar account. After each watch sync we receive that musher's activity file.
We read the route, distance, time, speed and climb, and attach them to the team that ran.
It is stored only inside that kennel's own account. Other kennels never see it.
We never sell it, share it, use it for advertising, or feed it to AI.
Disconnect at any time. Delete a track, or the whole account, whenever you like.
Try it on your own dogs this winter. Tell us straight what works.
We are taking a few kennels in Sweden and Norway for the 2026–27 season. You use the app for real team-making. We fix what you find and build what you ask for.
Your own private kennel at your own web address, with logins for you and your guides.
We put your dogs, rules and yard map in for you.
Nightly backups. Your data is yours: download all of it whenever you like.
If we ever stop, you get the app and a guide to running it yourself, free. It is written into the pilot agreement.
Free
Pilot kennels this winter: free. Paid plans from spring 2027. No card, no automatic payments. You decide then.
Built by a working husky kennel, for our own yard first.
K9metrix comes from Snowdog Arctic Adventures, a husky kennel of 74 dogs at Altajärvi, outside Kiruna in Swedish Lapland. We built it because we needed it: tours every day, guides who change through the season, and an inspector who wants to see the records. Our own crew makes its teams with it every morning.
