A phone app for sled-dog kennels. It makes the day's teams from your own dogs and your own rules, keeps every dog's health and inspection record, and logs each kilometre a dog runs.
Built and used every morning at our own 74‑dog kennel in Swedish Lapland.

Rambostrong pullerTeam 3, Altajärvi, this morning. Eight dogs, −18 °C, run 1. Made in one tap: the most rested dogs first, every pair rule kept, Kovu left out after three runs in a row.
Most kennels plan teams on a whiteboard and keep health notes on paper. This is the same day, with the app doing the remembering.
Care today is the kennel's to-do list for the day: the morning and evening rounds, who is still to go out of the pen, doses due, frost and water, and food stock in days. Everyone ticks as they go, and it works with no signal.
Older dogs carry a senior badge, their 90-day vet check and a written senior plan.
Letting a group loose in the play yard? Tick them on Free run and tap Out now: it warns if two dogs must never be loose together or a female in season is going out with males.

Who sleeps where, with a face for every dog. Find any dog in a second, see the counts per row, and a pen that is too small for the dogs in it shows up red. Here on a demo kennel: 32 dogs in four blocks.
Try the three views, the way they work in the app.

It leaves out every dog marked injured, resting or in season. Then it fills each team the most rested dogs first, fewest kilometres lately, and keeps your rules: never beside, must pair, never in the same team, left side only, not in lead, at most so many days a week.
Tell it the going and the cold and it picks the dogs that suit the day. Guest weights come in from Checkfront or are typed by a guide, so every sled shows the load per dog. Two guides can build on two phones at once. Drag any dog to change it, then save: every phone in the yard has the teams, even with no signal.

Add the GPS file (GPX) from your watch, handheld or phone app to a saved team. Each dog in it gets the distance, time, speed and climb on its own record, and the route is drawn on the map. No file? Type the km and minutes instead.
History keeps the season: every dog's kilometres and runs, days since it last ran, and a grid of the last fourteen days. Try the two views.

We have applied to connect Garmin Connect and Polar Flow. Once that is on, a musher connects their own watch account, and after each sync the app reads the route, distance, time, speed and climb and puts them on the team that ran. Route and times only: no heart rate or other body data is kept. Until then, the watch's GPX file does the same job by hand. Watch data stays inside your kennel's own account: never sold, never passed on, never used for AI. Disconnect whenever you like; your kennel can delete any track, and we delete your watch data on request within 30 days. How we handle watch data.
Positions, what to watch for, km this season, rest days. Health checks by body part, body condition 1 to 9, weight trend. Medicines with doses, who gave them, and withdrawal days.
Write the same note about two dogs twice and the app asks: should this be a rule?

Mark the race squad. Every dog in the pool is ranked: km in the last 7 and 28 days, longest run, pace, days since it last ran, in plain words. Build the line picks a 12-dog line from the pool in one tap, every rule checked.

One tap makes the inspection pack, red flags first. Run sizes are measured against the Swedish table (SJVFS 2020:8), and the count of dogs over twelve months against your permit. Norway's and Finland's rules are being added.
Daily rounds, the out-of-pen log, medicines and the senior plan are already in it. Nothing to type up the night before.

Upload your dog list from any spreadsheet. It matches your own column names and shows a preview before anything is saved. Or send us the list, or a photo of your whiteboard, and we put it in for you. Each dog can carry its Trekkhundregisteret ID, and its page links straight to its record there.
Pick a dog, pick the rule, pick the other dog: never beside, must pair, never in the same team, left side only, not in lead, at most so many days a week. Or fill in the rules spreadsheet.
Tomorrow morning, and every morning after. Drag any dog to change it, save, and every guide's phone has the teams.
We are taking a few kennels in Sweden, Norway, Finland, France and the UK for the 2026–27 season. You use the app for real team-making. We fix what you find and build what you ask for.
No card, and nothing starts by itself. When paid plans begin, pilot kennels get a founding price, and you decide then.
Ask for a pilot placeIn October 2026 we went through about 30 products: sled-dog apps, dog-sport logs, breeder apps and boarding-kennel software. We tried what we could ourselves, read the rest on their own websites and app-store pages, and compared 62 things, one by one. No app is named here. Where it was a judgement call, we counted it as level, not as a win. Where another app is ahead today, we say so: watch sync, an app-store listing, staff shifts, a gear list, breeding, finding a dog by camera and public reviews. We keep the score as the app grows.
A fair question for any small company. K9metrix is made by a small husky kennel in Kiruna. So that your kennel is never stranded, every one of these is in the agreement you sign.
Your dogs, rules, notes, health records and history belong to your kennel. We never sell or share them.
Kennel admins can download everything from the app at any time: the dog list, the whole kennel file, and every document and photo.
Teams, notes and health checks work on the phone with no server at all. Only sharing between phones stops.
If Snowdog Arctic Adventures AB stops trading, or its founder dies or can no longer run it, every kennel gets the app and a plain-words guide to running it, free, licensed for its own kennel.
A named second person holds the keys and the instructions, so the handover never depends on one person.
Every kennel is backed up every night, and the server is paid a year ahead.
K9metrix comes from Snowdog Arctic Adventures, a husky kennel of 74 dogs at Altajärvi, outside Kiruna in Swedish Lapland. We built it because we needed it: tours every day, guides who change through the season, and an inspector who wants to see the records. Our own crew makes its teams with it every morning. These are some of the dogs it was built for.
Write to us. Tell us your kennel's name, how many dogs you have, and whether you race.
Send us your hardest rule and your messiest dog list. We'll show it working on your own dogs.
